Wapuu is the beloved unofficial mascot of WordPress, first conceptualized during the WordCamp Tokyo 2009 after-party and brought to life by Kaneuchi Kazuko. Since then, Wapuu has been adapted by WordPress communities worldwide, often reflecting local cultures.
The original Wapuu made its debut at WordCamp Fukuoka 2011 and has since been adapted by WordPress communities worldwide, often reflecting local cultures.
