A Look Back At WordCamp Bharatpur 2019

WordCamp Bharatpur 2019 has been successfully conducted with more than 300 attendees including WordPress Developers, Students and Techy Geeks at beautiful Venue of Panaroma Garden. On the first-ever WordCamp held at Bharatpur city consisting of the countable number of Software Companies, we were loved and appreciated by uncountable hearts, so mesmerizing.

On this special note, we would like to convey our gratitude to all the attendees whose presence made this event a great one. In addition to this, numerous speakers despite their busy schedules contributed their time to spread their knowledge on WordPress and relatable platforms are also prime claimant of our appreciation. We would also like to thank our beloved sponsors without whom we wouldn’t have been able to organize this event. Last but not least, hard-working volunteers who had managed their time effectively so that our first-ever WordCamp goes fluent and error-free also deserve praise for their work.

The Call For Speaker Application is now closed

We would like to thank you for scheduling your time to talk at WordCamp Bharatpur 2019. We heartily appreciate your application as a speaker in the event.

For the first-ever WordCamp Bharatpur, we have got a huge number of submissions. All the submitted topics are very appreciable and overwhelming. It makes us very happy and also we understand that it’s going to be very difficult to make the speaker selections. 

Speaker Selection Process

Every person who submitted for speaking in the event “WordCamp Bharatpur 2019”, will get an official email from the Speaker Wrangler soon. Please be prepared with your slide (paper presentation).

After reviewing the bio, talks, and website by speakers committee, the speaker wrangler and the team will go through and review the talks. As a result, we will select the best fit and order the talks to create individual tracks.

We are sure that this will help to create the best possible event without prejudice. Such an approach ensures we evaluate the talks based on topic and fit with the tracks only. Thus fame, experience level, race, gender or any other identifying factor doesn’t influence the decision.

All speakers with multiple talks with have a special mark so that only one talk from each speaker would be added to the track.

Notice Regarding PAN/VAT Bills

In the past few weeks, we have been getting requests for PAN bill for the purchase of WordCamp Bharatpur tickets.

We regret to inform you that we cannot provide you the PAN bills.

WordCamps are casual community events. It is run by local volunteers and the ticket prices you pay are not for generating profits. Instead, the surplus amounts are used for the next WordCamp, Meetups and WordPress Events in the country. That means, the volunteers and the organizers don’t receive any remuneration.

WordCamps are not run by a private company and therefore the PAN is not registered for WordCamp Bharatpur.

Call for Speakers is now open. Are you ready to speak at #WCBHR?

We are grateful for your enthusiasm and your interest in speaking at the WordCamp Bharatpur #WCBHR2019 is looking for a speaker to share their knowledge and experience. We accept all topics related to WordPress.
We are looking to bring together bloggers, designers, developers, entrepreneurs as well as students who are passionate about WordPress and the web in general.

Is there any specific topic I should apply with?
We accept all the topic related to Web Development, Community stories or any topic that involves WordPress .
Since this is our first WCBHR we are looking for topics that are variant and fit for our audiences.
This year being our first shot at WCBHR here are few of the topics that might be relatable to the crowd and quite convenient for speakers to connect to the audiences present.

While we enjoy all sorts of creative topics, we’ve listed some for conceptual visualization of the kinds of topics that are generally presented at WordCamps.

What You Need To Know Before Applying ?
How long should your presentation be?
You are given a total of 40 minutes of time at maximum, that includes your presentation followed by a Q/A session from the audiences present. More on this will be discussed later on practice sessions.

What kind of audience will attend WCBHR?
Since it is Bharatpur’s first WordCamp you are likely to meet different types of audiences ranging from professionals to beginners and from teachers to students.

Do I need any past experience of speaking at Meetups or WordCamps to be qualified as a Speaker?
Although experience is a plus, WordCamp in general, is a community event and everyone gets a fair chance to be a part of it. A confident and knowledge sharing enthusiasm is all we’re looking for in a speaker. So go ahead, fill the application form and have a crack at it. You’ll never know if you never try 🙂
